Honda Accord Swithing from M1 EP 2 Valv Durablend

I got V6 Accord running regular M1 5W20. I am very happy with the performance and wouldn't mess with M1 success. The oil always seem to be very clean and thin on the dipstick. The engine rev nicely and looks perfect through the fill hole. I am not sure I want to use M1 EP and change every 15k though. The price is more so I rather stick with M1 regular and change at 10k. Keeping the same oil in the crankcase for some long isn't a very good idea, regardless of what oil it is.

You could argue that the oil isn't doing its job then.. But i won't go there.

I agree with buster, you'll probably get better results with Durablend.

I was planning to run M1 EP for 7-8k OCI but im not really a big fan leaving oil for that long....so maybe switch to durablend for 4-5k oci just to be safe..

I am running my Honda Accord to 15,000 miles with M1 EP with excellent UOA's. Why would anyone want to switch? I could understand if you had done UOA's and where not happy with the results but you have to have some reason to switch. Probably get better results does not cut it.

There is an UOA of someone runing a dino for 10K and it looked great in an Honda. I think it was old school havoline. Honda's engines are generally easy on oil.
