Neighbour around the corner from me STILL hasn't gotten their roof/soffit fixed after the derecho:

Sidebar: That house is original to the area, the bigger brick homes to the left and rear that make up the rest of the area are newer and were built in the 20's and 30's (my place being one). So, the backyard arrangement is REALLY goofy with the yard for that house originally being a field that these houses were built in, so it has a pretty large yard for the area that is comprised of what would otherwise be the logical yards for the bigger places.

Did you take this at Custer State Park? We were there last month and we had to wait for the herd to get across the road. They started crossing in front and behind our friends Tacoma. A couple of them even turned and walked right alongside of it.
Yes. Pretty great there…

They were hanging out in one of the parking lots once…

Ha Ling, near Canmore, Alberta, in the Canadian Rockies. One of my favourite hikes - I've been to the top nine times, between 2006 and 2016. Time to go again - maybe next year. These are from 2009.

View from the parking lot - that's our late, great 1997 Mazda MPV:

The forested part of the hike is a series of switchbacks.

The trees are thinning out now ...

Now it's a scramble up loose shale.

Saw this little fella on the sidewalk, seemingly injured. Came back a little while later and it didn't make it. Beautiful though while it lasted.

I like goldenrod. I guess it's a weed, but I genuinely enjoy it.
