Heat with humidity is bad stuff. You can have a heart attack, heat stroke, real stroke, dehydration, lack of energy. It makes you vomit. It cooks your brain.

You hear about people dying in the heat. Not as much in the cold.

Been 110+ (heat index) past few weeks. 103 today, this is nothing for me, having lived in south ga forever. Drop below 60 and I complain

I have to say that for me heat is worse as well. I have MS so heat can bring on a flare up of symptoms. Which it has caused over the years. One year when the AC wasn't working well at all in the hospital I had a rough spell. It was 89 in our med room and 83-84 in the hallways. It was brutal. No sense in that at all.

my wife has ms. We used to live in a place that had a temp range of -25 to +38 celsius now we live in a place that's about -45 to +28 celsius. I like the heat better for working in. mobility when bundling up for multiple hours in -45 is just horrible!

Your summers are perfect up in Canada. Longer daylight and lower temps.

You must have a short memory. People die in the cold every year.

I'll take hot over cold any day.

I, too, like it much cooler than most. A few years ago I was in Jacksonville FL in September and it was 85° and 85% humidity at 0200. It literally made me feel unwell.

Being fat has nothing to do with it...

and thins oil...

Not me, I was out in the heat at 7am cutting grass then stacking some firewood. Then helped a friend do a oil change in the asphalt driveway. Now on my porch watching a youth baseball game

My wife is out rollerblading. I was out all morning doing errands. We will both be out all day tomorrow riding motorcycles!

People don't put their convertible tops down because of heat. I didn't the other afternoon. Like a hairdryer in your face.

I used to live in the south. You'd hear of 20 people being found dead in heir house every time they had a heat wave. I don't hear about many people being found frozen solid in their houses.

I hate the temperature extremes winter and summer bring. My absolute favorite time of the year is spring. I live for those 72° breezy days where I can drive with the windows down.

100 degrees with a light breeze and no humidity isn't too bad. I feel for you guys in the south who have to deal with the heat AND humidity though. Not fun.

On the other side of things, 50s is tolerable and anything below that is too cold.

When was the last time you heard of heat causing pipes to burst, the ground to shift, cement to crack, or slippery white stuff to fall from the sky causing cars to crash and all manner of other mayhem.

True. The heat kills many more than the cold, contrary to popular belief.
