The headlights on my wife's 1991 5.0 LX Mustang were really bad from so many years in the Arizona Sun, so I bought one of those headlight polish kits on the Internet not expecting too much. It worked beautifully! You can see the before and after results. The lenses were returned to almost new condition. The "kit" contains a foam rubber polishing cup type wheel, and the polishing compound. There is enough to do the headlights and tail lights on at least 4 vehicles. I would recommend this to anyone who has plastic lenses that look a little faded. Bill T.

Looks great... the way it is with just one good headlight makes it look like it was in a wreck and the shop only replaces one. The only problem you might have is it will last like 3 months and then start to fade again. On my 95 Neon, the headlights were terrible when I got it, so I had to sand it down, but now I just use the Mother's powerball and some plastic cleaner every few months to get it looking new again. Only takes a few minutes.

Is there a link to this "kit" somewhere? Good job, the results are amazing. I saw a kit in Wal-Mart for 20 bucks. I have 2002 Elantra with a similar problem. Thanks.

to the Original Poster: WHICH KIT IS THIS?

why does he need to use PlastX?

as an additional finishing touch or what?

the way they look now, I don't think he needs anything right now :)

OK; I found the CV kit at Walmart. bummer it's just enough for 1 car. gonna try it out on my Tbird first probably tomorrow.
will post before/after pics here and in the photo section if I get to do it tomorrow.

Well there is the other light :)

Plast-X and some 1500 and 2500 grit sandpaper will work wonders. It worked on my old Elantra, my fiancee's Escort, and hopefully my Buick.

Maybe some 303 Aerospace Protectant for UV protection?
