I have never seen a Dex VI fluid also called "multi vehicle" Havoline apparently does, I am asking because Amazon has cases of Havoline Dex VI Syn for under $50.00 shipped, does anybody know if this fluid meets other specs. or how close it might be to Valvoline's Maxlife? Thanks.

As far as being similar to Maxlife I'm unsure. Dex-VI is a low viscosity ATF. I believe Maxlife is comparable in thickness to a Dex-III fluid. A multi vehicle Dex-VI will be usable for SOME other fluids that are low viscosity ATF's.

You should be able to find what applications it fits on Havoline's website.

Maxlife is very similar to DexronVI with respect to visocity, they are both approx 6 cSt @ 100C.

DexronIII was typically 7.5 cSt but sheared down in service to <5 cSt @100C, the Maxlife and DexronVI fluids are shear stable with Maxlife being more so, which makes them both superior to a mineral DexronIII
