Today is Dyngus Day. Dyngus Day occurs on Easter Monday and celebrates the end of the observance of Lent and the joy of Easter. Many large cities have celebrations which consists of good food and company.

My buddy met his wife (both of Polish heritage) at Dyngus Day in Buffalo almost 30 years ago.
If you like Polish food, it's not to be missed.
