Guys up north - have you started mowing yet?

Once last week in Central Pa. Trees are also very green early this year.

Just bought a brand new LawnBoy, Just finished putting on the 4th coat of wax,and second app of 3M mower deck sealant. Probably going to mow this coming tues, or wed for the first time.

Well, he didn't say he was using Zaino, now, did he?

I pulled the mower out of storage on Saturday and did the first mow and fertilize of the year. Since the city is doing free yardwaste pickup this week, I bagged, otherwise, I'd have mulched.

I may be looking at a new mower this year myself.

Did the first cut of the year at grandpa's today. Learned a good lesson though. Next year I think I'll wait to sharpen the blades until AFTER the first mowing. I found a chunk of 2" steel tubing the hard way....amazingly there were no chunks taken out of the blades, but they'll be coming off again before I mow again.

I mow according to how much it rains. Long grass stays green even with long periods with little rain fall. Cut it and it turns brown. We often have the only green lawn in the neighborhood all summer. Can't golf on it but it's green.

I have mowed about 140 lawns in the last 2 weeks. After this week it will be about 210 lawns.

Changed the oil & air filter today, and mowed for the first time this afternoon.
