guys over 50 doing maintenance

D60 mentioned moving a toilet and I remembered seeing this idea. Using your clamp to insert in the bowl to carry.

I'm in my 70's and last month R and R'ed carbs on my Honda Valk, all 6. Over 70 o-rings involved. Didn't use my lift, just worked on the floor to remove them. I dreaded the job but once I committed to it, it wasn't that bad. I had done it years ago so I knew what I was in for. Then I flushed the clutch and brakes. My 2001 Tacoma needs valve cover gaskets (at least) but I'm not doing that. Leaning over into an engine bay scraping gaskets etc-no thanks. It's just not leaking that much yet...

At 73, I use a weight machine and some free weights 3 days a week. Elliptical, the other three days a week. Still, working on a car for a couple hours uses muscles in a way that can't be duplicated with weights. So, I still get sore for a couple days afterwards.

I remember back in the day how after a day of water skiing I could barely sit on the commode. That took some muscles that were burned up.
