The pictures were taken right after I had finished polishing. There was no wax/sealant/coating on the paint; it was "naked."
The point of this thread was to illustrate that the paint's appearance is going to be dependent on its condition and not the paint/sealant/coating that is on it. And if you are trying to make the paint look good with a sealant or wax, the "fillers" are always short-lived so the improvement will never be permanent.
While this particular car is not completely defect-free, I did do an additional refining step
after Meguiars M205 to bring out the maximum gloss; M205 did not finish well enough for me. So those of you who only correct your car with Ultimate Compound should really take note...
This car was coated with Opti-Coat 2.0, so I needed all the gloss that I could get...because Opti-Coat 2.0 adds very little gloss to the paint.
