I would have concerns that a car with such bad alignment is even still straight from a chassis point of view.

Maybe it is just me but I couldn't drive a car with the wheel like that.

Another example of the way the car has been driven into the ground by the previous owners.

And now GHT thinks he is going to fix it all with ARX and RedBull.

Or actually, I vaguely remember him saying that one of the reasons he bought the car was because the passenger seat-belt was long enough to encompass his love interest. Perhaps the crooked steering has something to do with that...

How did you get the steering at that angle, while doing 70??

It's a gradual turn on the highway. Let me see.. This was somewhere before Exit 16, "Andrew Sq / Southampton St" (93 North.) Remember, I commute to Boston every day just about. 1607 Dorchester Ave is gas...

I had it at 75 for a time, but my phone lags.

It is NOT alignment.

Yeah, the Subaru didn't cut it...

Seriously, you went to the dealer for a brush ?

Wont comment on the "keeping it in top shape" statement

Yes. I went for a brush.. and to price up a gallon of the Volvo blue coolant. (And to inquire about the T-belt job . Another plus to get it done there is that they can give us a loaner car.. I wonder how my friend will fit in an S60, I doubt they car about an S80 or S90.. Anyways, point is: Loaner car.) The gallon costs $27; well worth it, if I get the T-belt done! I would change the coolant myself. AND, it MIGHT snow tonight. I got the brush that is blue and black and says "Volvo" on it. Want to see a pic?

Top shape.. The car is NOT in all that bad shape, you know! We love it, and it really has zero rust, low wear.. We suspect it sat for a long time, before we bought it from Pepperell, MA (close to NH border.) I went and got it, was a long hike..

I would have to go out to pic the snow brush, and it is dark out and my camera doesn't have a flash.. but, here it is about two hours ago, as I used it for our laundry today. Also, to go to Dorchester; I have been keeping the gas gauge on "F."

Yeah, Dorchester Ave has a couple of shops. I can get tires from there, if I want. There are also wrenches/mechanics on duty, yes!

I am not sure walking in there blind, stepping out of a Volvo is the best way to negotiate.. However, I *AM* open to suggestions.

I *am* leaning towards the dealer for the T-belt job.. since Sam can't be bothered to 1. Let the Thermostat gasket dry completely (he probably used RTV.) 2. Top up the coolant. So. For a T-belt? Hehe...

Dude, it is a Volvo, not a Rolls Royce......... They aren't going to assume you are made of money driving a 13 year old Swede wagon.

I've spotted him/her/it every time. Posting style and creative misuse of the English language are dead giveaways each time.

GHT obviously posts in a different style. And uses bold to help make a point!

You wanna see the snow brush?

I at first assumed that was some kind of a jab, since we have those [censored]-bent on talking about ME, and not the Volvo. However... Hey, I'm literal.

So, we have little bitty sting-ing rain (Oh no, I'm Forrest Gump!! Lol, some of you guys make me laugh so hard)

.. Snow brush pic coming up.

As to the he/she/it.. Let's put a face with that resiliance, eh! This was me in Vegas by myself at the "formal" night, and with my ladyfriend. (We flew in. Oh, the horror! Psych.)

By myself, Kenneth Cole suit, and shnazzy tie:

And, with the star of the show, SHALL REMAIN NAMELESS AND STAY TO THIS THREAD. (If you MUST know.)

I hold my own.

What's so special about that particular snow brush again? Sorry, I missed it.

Speaking of snow brushes, the best one I ever bought was made of boar's hair. It very soft to ensure paint isn't scratched. They're hard to find these days.

That one.. I went to the dealer, and they just so happened to have a Volvo-branded snow brush, so I picked it up when I was there, inquiring about the T-belt job ($616 and a courtesy car for us) and pricing up the Volvo Blue coolant ($27 a gallon; worth it, to have the right coolant in there.) One of the thread participants here wanted to see.. I thought they were joking, but, I obliged. Nothing "special" about it, QP.

We may get some tires from the Dorchester Ave shop. My friend reported she felt a hydroplane in the wet. Now, I DID put air in the tires, 32 or 34psi cold.. but, the tread is also a little low. And we Bostoners (Bostonians?) know that it was a wintery mix yesterday, and is in fact still drizzling/raining. That does not come out of the T-belt fund, however.

And we are not pleased at how Sam's handled the car previous to replacing the Coolant Temp Sensor.. so, the candidates for T-belt job are now the dealer (Volvo Village in Norwell,) or Donovan's in Quincy.

No joke, a good snow brush is vital round these parts. Thanks for the pics!
