Great article on the LT1 engine

Someone showed me this link which gives a lot of great info on the LT1 350 engine which comes in my 95 Firebird (and was in 92-96 Corvettes, 94-96 Impala SS, and 93-97 f-bodies)

Patman, I was under the impression that the LT1 (and LT4) in the Vette had an aluminum block (as well as heads). Was this not the case? Did it have an iron block and aluminum heads, while others had iron heads, too?

The LT1 and LT4 never came with an aluminum block, it was always an iron block with aluminum heads for the f-body and Vette, and the Impala SS and Caprice and Roadmaster got a version with iron heads (and slightly less power at 260hp)

Maybe a change in policy on the board is needed. Most of the successful sites allow links. If the parent site, in this case BITOG, is solid, then no problem. Now it is just a matter of doing a Google search for the site mentioned. Why make it hard for viewers and posters?
