Grease for small AC motor

I'm refreshing an old Craftsman (GM/Packard electric) 1/2 HP drill press motor(vertical shaft). After cleaning the hardened old grease out, the original one side shielded ball bearings are in good shape. What would be good for repacking? I'm not far from several industrial supply houses, but don't want to buy a ton of grease to pack two little bearings. Would general purpose automotive bearing/chassis grease work?

I would think wheel bearing grease would work in that situation.

I would believe wheel bearing grease would be best option i can think of.i
I have used it in countless ge fans.

Wheel bearing grease would be best if its an actual ball bearing. If a bushing, then light oil.

Ended up with the Oreilly house brand high temp #2 disc brake wheel bearing grease. Seems to work.
