Exactly right. Thats fake sludge and its no fair!

Now assuming that the engine has not totally ruined itself trying to lubricate with froth instead of oil, just how would one set about cleaning up such a mess. That stuff must be all over every oil passage in that poor thing.

AutoRX.....Double dose! (maybe triple)

It should be torn down and rebuilt, but lacking that...

The pan is off, so pull some bearing caps to see if the bearings survived. In the unlikely chance that they did, pull the valve covers and douche it out throughly top to bottom with cleaning solvent or diesel fuel. Might even need to start with something like Simple Green before using the solvent if the petro products won't cut the mess alone.

Run solvent through the oil passages too. Then put the pan back on, fill with cheap oil, turn the oil pump manually to run oil through the system.

Start the engine and run it easily until the oil warms up, drain and refill, maybe with ARx.

I have a feeling the engine is dead.

Yeah probably. I'm guessing that -- stuff -- doesn't have the same effect inside the bearings as does pure, clean motor oil.

Well, look at the bright side. Now we all know where gray paint comes from...

There is a lot of discoloration of the metal in the block. This puppy overheated as well.

So we have massive coolant intrusion, serious overheating and now maybe the red coolants equal pudding color in the pan. The older green coolant used to color the combined heated and mixed goo the color of babycrap.

Well, that was quite an adventure there. The only part I don't believe is the 8,700 mile part. There is no way in hades that engine only had 8,700 miles on it. No way. Unless it got those miles put on over the course of 4 years and was driven every day.

What's the deal with that last picture where he says "We're done. Qslim thoughtfully puts some oil in the engine."? That funnel is sticking in the coolant system, not the oil fill hole. Is that a joke or did I miss something?

And it's not even really in the coolant "hole", it looks like it's been Photoshopped since the radiator cap is still on.

Same thing noticed. No way in [censored]. Especially for a 8700 mile old car, look at the rusty fasteners and hose clamps etc. My trucks dont even look like that after 88000 miles

I've literally had the GN get as bad as the first picture. I made a pass, methanol nozzle plugged. Had some detonation for a second before I could back out of it. On the 30 minute drive home my oil pressure was reading 100psi at 65mph and 90psi at idle. Water temp started creeping up. Added more water at a gas station on the way home. That stuff was coming out of the breathers and every orifice in the motor. It seemed like I drained out an extra gallon. Turbo didn't survive but I put another year on the motor though it always had a little extra valvetrain noise after that.
