Yep - I don't think you really need a gun in the city unless you go to the range. Now if I was to move to the country, you'd bet I will be decently armed.

Maybe here in Toronto, but in semi-rural Alberta I seriously doubt it.

If someone is going to call the fuzz, neighbors will not take the time to discriminate between an actual firearm and an air rifle.

The OP states he lives in an area where firearms are not allowed, obviously concerned about it. Telling him to use quiet 22s is bad advice sorry.
