Sealants last longer right?

most sealants will outlast a wax, generally speaking. collinite 476 and 845 will hang in there with most sealants and is a fairly cheap route to go. the 845 is an easy to use liquid and both containers will last you years. the secret to using collinite is applying a very thin layer. most people use way to much and have a hard time removing it.

sorry but that is an incorrect statement. you can remove a sealant and spot repair like a carnuba. some of the better sealants repel dust and acid rain as good as if not better than carnuba ( they have a sheeting action which will reduce acid rain spots versus beading )

Not sure what to categorize Rejax as but it is certainly a good product, and worth looking into as well.

Yes, typically a sealant will outlast a wax. Sealants tend to give off a shiny, plasticky look vs the warm, glow of a carnauba wax. I love Duragloss and it easily lasts 6 months. With the exception of Collinite, a wax will typically last 4-8 weeks.

I'm with Capa on the Duragloss, either #105 or #501. Cheap, easy to use, and durable. If you want a sealant with the look of a carnauba then Wolfgang (@ Autogeek) would be the way to go but it's considerably more expensive than the DG products.

I have an ongoing experiment detailed in this section comparing Duragloss, Griots Garage sealant, and Mothers Synwax. I am 3 months in of winter weather and outdoor storage, and all 3 are still performing well. Jump down about a page of threads lower from here and you will see it. Pick any of the three and you will be satisfied.

I typically use a sealant followed by a 100% carnauba wax as it gives protection and looks

Griot's sealant is good.

There's lot's of products out there with a range of durability and looks. What are you looking for and what car is it going on? Paint color can lend itself to better results with some products over others.

I use Rejex. I love the stuff and it just seems to last forever. Been using it for a couple years now. You can layer over it with carnauba after its cured too. I use Mothers 100% carnauba wax without cleaners. Its really good stuff too.

I recently switched to the infamous Collinite 845 and was shocked by its ease of application and appearance for a long-life product.

Zaino

ZAIO is a great base and then use Z2Pro a top, it is great stuff. KAIO and Klasse SG are still good but not as good since the reformulation. Werkstat is just klasse SG plus other additives. It is still good stuff, can't go wrong with any of those 3. Everything else is just not as good period. I haven't tried rejex, I know those Corvette owners like it. It is one of the few products I haven't tried.

Zaino All In One is simply the best product I have ever tried.

NO MODERN SEALANT IS HARMFUL TO PAINT. THOSE SILICONE HAVE LONG BEEN BANNED. WAX IS DEAD, SEALANT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO..

There are a whole lot of people in a whole lot of detailing forums that will tell you that Zaino=Duragloss. Of course, Duragloss is significantly cheaper.

I wouldnt say that wax is dead. Collinite will outlastome sealants. Also, with the recent emergence of coatings, some would say that sealants are dead

None of those will give long lasting protection like the op is looking for. You are lucky to get 2 months out of NXT and the new Ultimate is not much better and the spray wax last 1 week...and none of these are SEALANTS that the op is looking for, but the NXT comes close - just doesn't last.
