Unfortunately my manuals don't go back that far, but very often GM's dashboards are secured with snap-in-place clips and/or heavy duty velcro. I'd advise you to wait for someone who knows more, but I suspect that you can just carefully pull in the proper spot, maybe after removing a screw or two, you could get it to come right off. After that, the radio would just be a matter of a few bolts.

Yep ..everything comes out the front. It's just a matter of finding the fasteners for the dash panel. They hide them sometimes.

Pry the fake woodgrain plastic off with a screwdriver, next take screwdriver and gently pry the vent ducts out(push down and they pop out)next remove (Torx) screws out that are behind the vents ,also remove the screws along the bottom of the black plastic dash,I believe there are two or three in the glove box very gently pull the black plastic dash off, undo four screws holding radio to dash, pull out and remove connections at back.Word off caution there are airbag sensors under the dash so just be careful.Put the new radio in and you should be rocking in no time.Good Luck Redneck

Most GM cars now the dash top comes off but you have to take out the piece on the side of the windshield-the Pillar, I think is is called. Sometimes these things have screws and some times they are those fittings that are a tapered hot dog in a hole. Do this first and it should come right out. I did this replacing mine because it cracked.

Hello all. Does anyone have any idea how to get the radio/CD player out of a 95 Buick LeSabre without destroying the dashboard? The CD player is pooched (really heats up the disc)and I would consider replacing it if I could get it out.

Cheers,

Bry

Thanks ever so much. This is certainly a "must read" for anyone attempting these challenges. The last time I replaced a radio/cassette player (79 T-Bird)there were wires everywhere

, not to mention blood, beer bottles and a few "%$@*" words. Got 'er done, but it took a while.
Again, merci beaucoup.

just park on the bad side of town for a night with the windows down
funniest thing would be when the thief goes to use the player and finds out it don't work

Wow, a redneck who can spell French words properly. I never thought I'd see that. Doesn't the French language stand against everything redneck?
