Getting Ready to Sell Home

Never seen actual stats on this, but this seems to be The Choice. And almost every bit of the "stuff" is worthless.
A wonderful homecare giver and I cared for my father until he passed. I just called my BIL up in WA to come and clean the place out.
Unlike me, Mark kicks you-know-what. I knew some workers; Mark ran the show and all was done. Except he gave away some of my tools I had there.

In my case, I am 10 years older than wifey. She is a pack rat, and a worker bee to the max. I am just lazy. All good.

The problem is you throw away or donate something you haven't used in "3 years" ... And 2 weeks later you need it.

This happened to me at least a few times. One time was literally 2 days after I got rid of something. lol

Having said that, I have been cleaning up since I have been trying to move for 3 years now. Best is to start early and get rid of stuff. Don't wait till last minute or it will be overwhelming!

I feel your pain, only I'm the pack rat. My wife wants me to get rid of stuff, and I did a little selling and tossing. My good stuff, no way!! I tell her that she and my son can sell it when I die. I'm thinking of putting price tags on some of my valued possessions so they don't sell them off at fire-sale prices, and the losses haunt me in the afterlife. Good luck!!

They may say what are these cheap tools? Never heard of it, Snap-on what? Donate!

My wife once asked what is this one? I said a voltmeter. She said don't you have 2 little ones in the garage? get rid of it. it's too big. One of my very small ones in the garage is an old and reliable RadioShack and the other one is a cheap one from Harbour Freight that does works but sometimes I have to turn it off and on to get it to work. It was a free gift when I bought something else.

She wanted me to get rid of my fancy Fluke. I said this one goes to the grave with me. :ROFLMAO:

That's my issue as well, price tagging tools might be the fix for that..... ;)
