"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual -- or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country." --Samuel Adams (1781)

Quickest presidential election vote I've ever done! No line at the polling station, it took a total of about 5 min. (compared to 2008 when it took over 4 hours!).

Voted mail in early. My federal vote probably won't matter anyways as we are not a swing state, but I spent a lot of time reading the local propositions' text after I toss the advertisements out.

Some freaks dared to call me every day at 7pm for some issue, the 3rd time I told her I'll call the police if she keep harassing me.

Before my dad died in '93, he was a lifelong Republican. Since they put him in the ground, he has repeatedly voted straight-party Democrat.......
I'M KIDDING FOLKS. IT WAS A JOKE! (Think about it awhile if you didn't get it)

My wife, daughter and I voted last week. There are no real exciting races in my state so we didn't quite have the excitement that some other states do.
If you think about it though, it's really too bad that my vote doesn't count as much as somebody from Ohio.

I am so happy we have the option of mail-in ballots here. No more standing in line for hours.

I was surprised at how long the lines were here.

I arrived at my polling place at about 6:30am and there were already a few dozen people ahead of me. That's what I get for thinking I'd beat the rush by going before work.

Voted this morning before work. Felt good to be doing my bit in selecting our leaders.

No lines at my rural NY location. IIRC only 32 people, one of them my wife, were signed in ahead of me at 7:15 AM.

Voted 5 days ago.
Republican. Democrat. Independent. Who Cares?
When your country gives more money to welfare/food stamps for someone who doesn't work who is perfectly able to, thats wrong and needs to change.
Some people need it, some people use it as an excuse for free money so they dont have to work.

Its sad when some military personnel make less per month than a food stamp recipient
