I have 3 generators, one wouldnt idle and would die. I tried dumping the gas, and using fresh gas.. installed fresh gas.. it stumbled and smoked then cleared up.. i ran the carb dry twice after that and all is good now.
Perhaps try fresh fuel once again.. just normal pump 87 to rule out the 'fresh E0'.
