Live outside Chicago area. Outside temps range -20 winter to + 100 in summer. Which oil would any recommend for year round use.
I have Euro Casrtol 0/30 and M1 0/40 on hand, either better in a
V twin air cooled?

I've had the 16kw version for about 4 years -- twin cylinder -- running propane. I've used Mobil 1 5-30 since day one and never had an issue. I change the oil every 6 months and use a Pur white filter.

I'm in NY with comparable winters. Mine does not have a lot of hours on it BUT a few winters ago I was w out electric and she ran about 60 hours straight.

I know I could use a lesser oil, but this is one of those applications where you just don't know ahead of time what operating conditions your going to encounter.

I have a friend that is a Gererac tech, and uses nothing but M1 5-30 in all the PMs he performs. He changes oil in his cutomers gens once a year.

Couldnt see using the Generac filter at those costs when the Pur white or any other decent filter would work just as well>
