This is my 1999 Ford Contour SVT with 2.5L Duratec V6. One dose of SeaFoam through a vacuum intake during this OCI, and almost a year on calendar. Just over 100,000 miles on the car, owned it since new, and it's seen M1 for about the first 70k miles and pretty much GC since then. I drive fairly aggressive, 45 miles per day, mostly hwy, plenty of high RPM/WOT acceleration. This oil was in for 10,200 miles, same FL-820S filter the whole time. About 1 qt of M1 20W-50 as makeup.

I'm fairly pleased considering the miles. Any comments/questions?

sure the quart of make up oil helped it a little. Not a bad report though. nice visc, nice flashpoint

U running the same oil/filter combo?

Yes, once again a Motorcraft FL-820S and 0W-30 GC in there. Thinking of going 12k miles this time. BTW I'm in the Cleveland area so we get 90+ in summer and single digits in winter occasionally.

Although 42 Iron is higher than what I was trending back in '06, it's right in line with what I got on that 5600 mi run in '05 using M1 5w30. So it's hard to say whether it's starting to really ramp up around 10k miles or if it's just average.
I might compromise and go 11k.

You really have to look at the condem limits wear metals than just picking a number . But 10 to 12,000 miles is getting your $$$ worth from the oil.
