This is not an OG wire backed but the new style cheap media.
Was run from 166000 to 177422 , 11422 total miles on my 2012 Honda Odyssey.
First OCI was RGT 0w20 in August 2024 and then a Kirkland 0w20 and Pennzoil PUP 0w30 frankenbrew in March 2025

Small amount of deposits in bottom of the can, forgot to get a pic, 🤦‍♀️

Please spacing left something to be desired

No deposits on bypass valve unlike my last FU post.

Media surprisingly brittle, tore with medium pressure from my finger, no tools needed.

Leaf spring looks pretty smooth, but I don't like the sides clipped out ... leaves almost zero sealing area where it mates with the end cap. I don't see an end cap shot without the leaf spring, but I bet it does not have the leaf spring seal in the end cap (based on it's not wire backed) unless the OP can verify. Fram got rid of the leaf spring seal about the same time when the media stopped being wire backed.

Good thing the pleats didn't have any wide spacing, or it could have torn in service based on the description of how brittle it was.

What's the date code on the can ... it has holes in the center tube, so it's not real new.

No fiber seal like the OG ultras

The way I read the OP’s post, is that he did 3 oils changes over the 11K miles all on the same filter, but I may be mistaken.
I started with RGT then did one oil change mid filter interval roughly 4000 miles(after winter cold starts) into the 11422 filter interval
The second oil used was a Kirkland and Pennzoil frankenbrew

Looks okay and maybe the domed side walls seal up the leaf spring on some filters deeming the cut sides not necessary? Still think that slim metal sides should really give more coverage though. Like @KCJeep's expertise... It didn't tear & the spacing is a bit tight in that one area but certainly not bad as wide spacing. Thanks for sharing this 11k newest gen Ultra.

In my observation of post use cheapened media XG anecdotes, this ones media, not terrible. Seen significantly worse at much less miles. I don't care for the cut off bypass seal area on opposite sides. Should be full around entire circumference imo. It still may have sealed, or maybe not. Said for a while now, current XG a ~7500 mile-"max" filter. 20k rated, no.

Thanks for c&p.

For some reason I thought they were using louvers on the center tube instead of holes for these filters
It's an older built Ultra, that's why it has holes and not louvers. So need the date code to know for sure.
