Any harm in using Techron in the fuel system of my 75 Corvette which is carbureted? Just asking as it's a stronger cleaner, and would possibly clean things up faster. Then use the MMO to keep it clean.

Was thinking of 1 or 2 tanks with Techron than a steady maintenance dose of the MMO.

It's been my experience that MMO does better and keeping things clean. Sure, it does some cleaning on it's own - but slowly.

I would recommend the Techron without hesitation for a good initial cleaning - then follow-up with MMO every tank afterwards.

This would not only keep things clean (and continue to clean a little) but also provide the much needed TCL that is sadly missing in today's gasoline blends. MMO would also help keep the fuel system lubricated as well. (my opinion only)

I have been using Techron for last 25 years. I had great experience in using Techron on Honda carburated cars.

Techron is far superior to cleaning all sorts of things in the fuel system and engine.

Do that first, and then use your MMO in the fuel for maintenance and extra top end lubing -esp important with today's alcohol infused gas..

+1 Once it is good and clean from the Techron, add MMO at each fill up. Then if you like treat it to a bottle of Techron once a year.

I have used Techron(1 dose/20oz bottle) in my 80 Firebird FORMULA V-8/4bbl, followed by MMO(per directions) every tankfull thereafter.
