double checked the connection at the on/off switch connector (inside the car) and its fine but notice when I took the button off one of the lights if out. Not sure if normal. Not sure how to go about fixing this. Really hoping its a simply fix and dont have to replace the whole set.

I do get an audible "click" when I press the button from the relay, which tells me that it's working if I'm not mistaken? Bulbs are 2 months old, fuse looks good but i can check again.

Considering your financial situation don't bother fixing them. Drive as is until you get a full time permanent job.

Are both Fog lights not working ?

Did you check for voltage at the Bulb(s) ?
Go from there (Voltage present =bulbs, no voltage start checking at spots towards the switch, relay, fuse, switch, etc)

In US they are wired to only work with parking lights or low beams. Highs cut them off.

NH considers it an inspection fail if you have fog lights and if a light bulb is out. You either have to remove them or fix them.

Are diagnostics really that hard? Use a voltage meter and start working back from the light. There will be a point where you do and don't have voltage. Whatever is between those two points is the cause of the problem. If you have power at the socket, then it's the bulb.

If it's OEM then the vehicle wiring diagram will be of some use. If not, all bets are off as to the quality of the wiring, especially if they are grounded through the case of the lamp and mounted on a plastic grill. Some lamps have ONE wire and the mounting system is the ground path, others have TWO and one of those wires has to make a good connection to the car body. Resistance between the lamp socket (not the hot lead) and the NEGATIVE battery terminal needs to be checked. I should be very close to 0 ohms.
