I put some car wash soap in my hose spray attachment (removed the deflector first) and used the spigot on the front of the house (it's ahead of the house pressure regulator) and it foamed the car to a fare thee well.

Have not done it since then...may try again with some of the recommendations made on this thread and see what happens.

I use a Bunny-K foam gun (garden hose type). Similar to the Gilmore but much less expensive.
