Fluoride number one cause of death?

Convenient outlet for industries to dump pollution into the fresh water system.

You will find articles that say this pacifies the population.

The city water systems love to hype fluoridation as beneficial.

They will never publicly admit that it is bad.
The reason it is there is related to getting rid of an industrial poison and goes back years.

But public health officials say that the National Academy of Sciences examined the studies linking fluoride to lowered I.Q. and could not substantiate them. Similarly, two large and recent studies, one from Harvard and the National Cancer Institute, the other in California, found no link between fluoride and bone cancer. Fluorosis in the United States, they say, tends to be barely visible.

I dont know why people put up with that, especially today with the emphasis on not poisoning food and water and the EPA cracking down on polluters. It must be a money thing.

Fluoride was one of the most common pollutants to emerge from America's industrial revolution, and its deadly toxicity was immediately recognized. In that era, both air and water-borne fluoride poisoned plants, animals, and people by the thousand. A by-product of copper, iron and aluminum manufacturing, fluoride could only be legally disposed of by selling it for use as an insecticide and a rat poison.

I have to ask: Did you read the study referred to in the article? Did you even read the abstract?

The study associates vascular calcification and coronary artery disease with floride uptake in patients who have had whole-body sodium fluoride PET/CT studies.

This study is NOT creating a link between sodium floride consumption and coronary artery disease.

Quite the contrary. It is suggesting that sodium floride may be useful as an identifier of coronary artery disease, as flouride uptake is greater in those paitents that have calcification.

Reading for yourself: It's better than sensationalist headlines by organizations with an agenda.

Don't mean to be rude, but this stuff about fluoride being some sort of 'killer' is just another conspiracy theory that holds about as much water as a kitchen colander.

Pretty much sums it up for me.

There is no real science in this country anymore...science is based on whatever specific lobbying group is giving politicians the most money. A perfect example of this is ethanol in our gasoline.

I will resoundingly say no to that every time. Be like Europe? Are you kidding me?!

This week, fluoride is bad.
Next week, fluoride is good.

This week, decaf coffee is bad.
Next wee, decaf coffee is not bad.

Last week, drinking is bad.
This week, drinking isn't bad.
Next week, drinking red wine is actually good for you.

Last week...

see the trend? Don't bite the bait...

Problem I have with fluoride is that it's actually medicating the populace, and it's not does controlled.

My children drink over 2L per day of water, meaning that their "dose" will be 4-5 times that of their peers...and as the study above shows, people with specific issues will have different uptakes.

What other "medicine" is dispersed wholesale, with no regulated doseage, to everyone ?

CDC and ADA have recommended halving the level from 1.4 to 0.7ppm to minimise potential tooth damage from fluoride, and have recommended that bottle fed babies not be fed exclusively from fluoridated sources...doesn't exactly sound harmless.

To those in favour of fluoridation, hy not statins or ritalin in the water ?

BTW, statins are to become available over the counter to those who have been prescribed them previously, and the doctors are having a whine that each individual should be assessed case by case, not en masse....

I would honestly that if its a concern drink RO or distilled water.

We have been drinking RO water for 25 years. We have a water store near us and a gallon of RO water is $.25. I think its one of the best things we have ever done.

I saw one of those in Ca. when we were there, and think it's a great idea...no such thing in this area.

We drink bottled, and cook with tap.

Personally, drinking water should be made safe to drink, and not part of Govt mandated mass medication.
