I haven't seen that before. Neat!

Looks expensive, but also looks like it could be a prelude to similar innovations from other mfrs.

They could actually make a spin on container that holds a replaceable cartridge filter if they wanted to.

Go to yuor local Cummins engine dealer..see if they have one.

Or Fleetguard will be at the Mid America Truck show March 23/24/25 in Louisville, KY. As will Donaldson, Champ/Luberfiner. Baldwin. And probably Wix.

They aren't available until the end of the month from what I understand. They just "unveiled" them on Wednesday. Here's another story if you're interested.

I agree they look expensive.

Now if they make it fit a few popular sizes ..not just the oil burners ......

not just the oil burners ...

But if they make them for cars that start with a 2 and not 1 in the model year, that will leave you out..

So I take it everyone is thrilled with a plastic composite and non metal can and no metal in the filter construction at all?

It wasn't to long ago a non metal center tube sent people into a frenzy of sorts...

Well, they don't have to cut them open to see the insides ...

Hmm ..the do make a common sized one

So ..it looks like the commoners will be taken care of.

Now (and the moment that we've really been waiting for) ...it all depends on price (ta-da!)

I doubt that Fleetguard is going to bring their cartridge filter elements down to the price that makes it worthwhile. The canister itself will probably be expensive, although cheaper then current market offerings for like products.
