Anyone know what store actually carries the new mobil 1 ATF ? I tried walmart and realized tonight they don't have much as far as ATF goes. Just a couple of brands.

Advance Auto and AZ both carried it last I saw, but at a higher price than the WM's I have seen it at.
Try checking pepboys if u have one nearby, they carry the stuff along with other ATF's

I went to Walmart last week and see they shrunk their oil selection and especially ATF selection. And yes Mobil 1 ATF is no longer carried by my local Walmart. I believe the Adavanced Auto Parts store still carries it, but at a relatively higher price. I was using it in my Ford PS and "turkey basted" 2 quarts already. So I'd like to stick with it. I guess I'll just pay the higher cost. At least I don't need much.

My manual trans in my dodge Dakota calls for ATF+4 . it's the getrag 238. Do you think I can use the mobil 1 ATF in it. I also have a mazda 3 that I can use the mobil1 so it just would simplify my life if I can use 1 type of ATF for all my vehicles.
I think maybe < 5% change their own oil and more like < 1% change their own ATF. I would say ATF is not a big item for Walmart or AZ/AAP.

Yes, it should work just fine in your Dakota.
Amsoil about the same price and it can be ordered online and at a discount if you become a preferred customer etc.Now my ISSUE is with Valvoline.That SAY their ATF+4 EXCEEDS Amsoils and Moble.Its HALF the price.I don't know whether to believe them.
I would really need to see some substantiated proof to that claim. It's hard to find a better ATF than those two.
