Jimi hendrix is the most amazing guitar player ever in history IMO he did for guitar playing [style and sound] is like what the Beatles did for rock music. I am not sure if I have a favorite as there are many.

Crossroads by Clapton... Some ol ZZ Top. Black Magic Woman by Santana. Lots of Led Zeppelin..... Too many too list.

Of course the classic by B.B. King - The Thrill is Gone.

Of course, Crossroads may be the greatest blues song written. It was written by Robert Johnson, the man who legend says met the devil at the crossroads.

The Sky is Crying, by another early bluesman, Elmore James, is great too. Johnny Winter does a great cover, so does George Thorogood.

ANYTHING by Stevie Ray Vaughn!!

I watched a show on Ovation last friday that showed Hendrix's performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. The man was just flat out BORN to play the guitar. The music just flowed through every pore.

There's too many songs I like to have a fav. Joe Bonamassa, Leslie West are some I'm listening to now. Of course there's always the various Kings, Clapton, Vaughn, Winter - really too many to list. They're all awesome players.

I like Leslie West because he is versatile - both with his guitar and his voice. To listen to him with Mountain, then hear in play the blues, say off of "Blue Me" is really cool..

The Crossroads DVDs I have the first two have really good miusic on them and the 2007 DVD imo is Erics best ever playing.
