2013 F150 with 5.0. 88K miles. Last night truck ran fine for about 3 miles. Engine stumbled and then starts losing power over the next couple miles. Ends up without enough power to move but will still roughly idle. All the gauges are normal with no engine lights. I don't see anything going on under the hood. I changed the oil and checked the air filter a couple days ago and really haven't drove it. I checked the wiring connection that I could have disturbed with the maintenance. Pulling the PCV hose would stall the engine. I finally opened up the air box. The engine started running a little better. I was able to get out of the median and another mile to my original destination. Still not running great but was improving. Truck sat for a couple hours. Ran fine after that and drove home normal. I haven't messed with it today.
Possible causes?
I'm going to clean the MAF and throttle body today since they've never been touched. I'm thinking maybe some trash got into the MAF when I opened it up the other day.
