Heaven forbid, though, if Alonso gets held up by back markers, in the rare occasion that he's not one of them.
billt460: I think that's what's gotten Sergio all riled up, this last aspect to all these gremlins. Supposedly, the car is cleared in the garage to hit the grid, then something's inexplicably and suddenly wrong. Or, a fast fix is made because a problem is found, and then someone claims the problem is fixed, no more problem, then someone else is retiring a lap or two later. Sergio does way too much micromanaging and probably freaks too many people out, but for this issue, I don't blame him in the least for raising a big stink. As for missing the anthem, it will be Vettel's worry if he gets another reprimand and a grid penalty. There's one thing to have bad luck, and another to intentionally load the dice against oneself. He got a DNF and zero points. Standing over the mechanics' shoulders didn't do any good, and just brought about more disciplinary risk.
