Evolution and Humans

There can be little doubt that people who would never make it to the breeding age, can now do so easily from modern medicine, and the nanny state protecting them from their own inability to apply logic, and /or actually paying them to breed via handouts.

Humanity has gone too emotional and politically correct. Life is not fair, never has been. Nowadays people should stop insisting that it needs to be, whenever they have strong feelings about something and gush in their own fabricated indignation and feel the need to protest.

What makes you think that you would have survived under the old system?

Is anyone supposed to believe that you're going to be the one to let a family member die if they happen to be one of the "weak" or "undesirable"?

It's always nice to talk about ideals that you know you will never have to put to the test.

AN article from 1997 referencing a study from 1993. Nice.

I really don't know what you are saying? I would disagree with it if I understood the concept.

That's not Darwin's Theory, but please don't let that stop you professor.

Faith can occur only i the absence of proof. This is a religious thread if I've ever seen one.

Archaeologist just found a cave with about 15 skeletal remains of a new species they believe to be human ancestors, Homo naledi. They believe they are from 2 to 3 million years ago. They are calling it one of the most historic archaeological finds in Africa. We are living in fascinating times for sure. They even claim there is evidence that it is actually a tomb deep inside a cave and they buried their dead there. I'd love to travel back in time and see how they lived. I imagine that we have a lot in common. We still struggle to find mates, eat, find shelter, keep healthy, etc. Just imagine all the struggles and resilience it took to survive.

why not start smaller, and just go travel. You can visit other cultures right now without needing a time machine.

The common descent theory was proposed by Darwin among few others, of which "the survival of the fittest" is the most commonly known. I was thought that in school and it is still thought to this day. I'm sure you were though this as well.

I was doing a similar thing in Military Electronics, with Silicon, GaAs CMOS & Bipolar starting in 1981 too!!

It's just one. There's too many to list. If you want updated info try looking for yourself. The situation is only getting worse every year. In fact the government has re-defined marriage. I can guess the next step and soon marriage will be considered old fashioned and irrelevant in this new America that is our future.

I think you put it too mildly. Soon the family and marriage in a normal sense i.e. man and woman, will be ridiculed and shun upon.

Yep, we discourage natural selection!!!

Since we as humans are around for such a short time we fail to see the larger patterns in the universe often. But I have always been amazed that folks could believe that everything we have here and around us came from nothing...

They guy that invented the vacuum tube was dumber that the guy that invented the transistor.

Is that the gist of your reasoning?

In essence, yes. People have evolved the ability for scientific reasoning. Modern man is considerably more capable than ancient man.

You moved the goalposts considerably in these two posts.

The first post described Darwin's Theory as "all life evolved from one organism" which is not even remotely close to being true.

Your then backed off that claim considerably in your second post, after having been called on your straw man.

Over 2 million marriages a year, and a plunging divorce rate argues otherwise.

What planet are you own. Recheck your statistics.

Quantum theory which is accurate to one part in 10000000000000000 says the universe of 400,000,000,000 galaxies occurred in the first 10,000th of a second, 13.72 billion years ago. "Empty space" is not really "empty". Like I said..you can't apply "common Sense" here.

I do agree with most of your thoughts though

Common descent essentially boils down to one common organism that all life evolved from. That's the only conclusion one can have if the theory is followed.

I worked for a company with an SOI (not sapphire) fab a while back and their wafer costs weren't too bad, so I wondered why SOI was not more common.
Then I saw their yields...
:^O
Gotta admit it was fun to design in their processes.
