Evinrude XD100 oil

So what is the opinion on the eteck engines compared to the 4 cycle engines everyone else has. They are lighter, that alone is better performance. How about economy and life.

I know of a used 150 2016 or 2017 on well kept boat that can be bought reasonable.

XD-100 does not mean 100:1, it is only the designated name for Evinrude's all-synthetic lubricant. It is not some off-the-shelf oil that has a different label slapped on the container, it is formulated by Evinrude and lubrication engineers for their own outboards. It uses organic, nitrogen based additives, not metallic based, thus the unique odor.
