Any of you BITOG'ers have a knife you carry everyday?

Currrently i carry a Kershaw 1760 but eventually I'm gonna go for a Benchmade 943

I always have two, often three.

The two:

Wenger Esquire(2.3" closed, swiss army keychain style, has blade, fingrnail file/cleaner, scissors, tweezers, & toothpick- small & innocuous enough that it offends no one, amazingly capable)

Kershaw OSO Sweet(substitutes: Kershaw Vapor, Benchmade Mini/reg Griptillian, Benchmade Osbourne 943- those are the main ones)

The third? Might be almost anything- mostly regular size pocketknives like Opinel #6-#9, old Case 3-blade Stockman(3347 pattern), Victorinox Swiss Army (mebbe Soldier, Farmer, Climber, Explorer, or one of many others); bigger to much larger, such as Benchmade McHenry & Williams #710, a big no-name locker often carried during yard work, Kershaw Vapor II, CRKT Carson M21-04, or others.

BTW- dgee, of all the foldng single-bladed one handed opening, locking knives I own-- and there's a *Bunch* of 'em- my favorite of them all, by far, is the Benchmade Osbourne-designed 943.

Leatherman Skeletool CX. I don't leave the house without it. Outboard knife, pliers, slotted/Phillips screwdriver. Lightweight, slips in your pocket. It has come in handy more times than I can count.

I received a Spyderco Delica (serrated edge) for my 16th birthday. I carried that thing off and on for almost 12 years, just lost it last summer. Gggrrrrrrrrrrr.

I need to replace it and I'll get another Spyderco Delica but this time with 1/2 serrated, 1/2 normal blade. Great knives, don't know why I haven't replaced it yet as I have needed it many times.

I have an Opinal which is very light and easy to carry in a pocket,it also has a steel blade that can be sharpened to a good edge.I've had it for over 30 years as an every day carry.I used a Chinese Mtech for 7 years until the belt clip broke last year, making it too heavy to carry in a pocket. Now it lives in my motorcycle jacket.I have a Schrade multitool,it goes most places with me too.

Kershaw Ken Onion Chive
or
Microtech Scarab Tanto
or
Spyderco Embassy Auto
or
Benchmade 51 Balisong

Nope, not any more, since knife laws made it very expensive, give potentially excessive time for introspection (and subsequently hard to own a firearm) for having a leatherman on your belt except while at work.

(Our former Police Minister made the comment "If you've got a knife in your pocket, you better have a fishing rod over your shoulder". And a local apprentice chef got charged for knife laws carrying his kit home on the train...simply because he stopped for a beer after work, and was not travelling directly home from employment).

'tards.

Smith and Wesson Military and Police Tanto Blade with a seatbelt cutter and window punch, non-assisted opening. 25 bucks from Galls.com. Check it out, couldn't be happier.

I'm beginning to understand your location description, "prison on an island."

Ti-Lite with the plastic handle is only about $50. I've field dressed deer nicely with it, and actually prefer it to my wider fixed blade Buck sheath knife.

I've carried the same Swiss Army Knife every day for going on 15 years now. The closest current model is the Picnicker, altho my handle is black and the blade isn't serrated.

It's light but the blade is big enough & locking to get the last of the Nutella from the bottom of the jar. It has all the tools I need and none of the ones I don't.

I used to laugh at how most SAKs had corkscrews on them... until I went camping without this knife, met some chicks and didn't have a way to open the bottle of wine.

Wound up pushing the cork into the bottle and learned my lesson well!
