I have a 93 ford f-150 with a 5.8 engine that loads up after it's warm. What happens is that after it's run, shut off, and then started again, it loads up and runs rough until I hit gas and clear it out. Have new O2 sensor and new MAP sensor. Anybody out there have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, Chris. I didn't think about those possibilities. I will have them checked.

This is a good web site for EEC-IV Ford trucks. I just spent part of my vacation learning how to read all the codes (KOEO, Memory, KOER, and the cylinder balance test) for my 91 Ford 302. I even made myself a switch to remotely connect the Self-test-out to the Self-test-in so I can read the blinking check engine light. Once you're up to speed on reading these codes, it's a wondeful feeling knowing you can access the important error codes for next to nothing.

You can have error codes without having the check engine light come on.

Kestas,

I'm familiar with that site, and I suspect you might get a few PM's from me in the next year or so. My next project is putting a '91 EEC IV mass air EFI system (from a '91 or 92 mustang gt) on the 302 in my vintage bronco. I've got all the parts, just building up the energy/courage to jump in.

Lots of early bronco guys have done it due to carburetors not working well at steep angles while off-roading. Seems like it would be a fun project.
