I just started my ARX cleaning phase 1st time around and I started up my car today, and it felt like it was mis-firing. Chunking really badly, then, after about 15 seconds of idling, it went away. It acted almost like it wasnt getting any oil. Could this be from my filter clogging up and possibly bypass valve trying to open or what? Thanks.

ARX will be pretty much evenly dispersed in the host oil within a few minutes of running after the addition. It does not separate out once dispersed.

well, ive had it in the engine for about 250-300 miles, and it did it again, but the engine was already warmed this time... not igntion cause the entire system is new, and cant be fuel because i just replaced the injectors/filter/pump...

Rock on!!

Chunking? (visions of "punkin chunckin" a strange event in rural Delaware ...or is it Maryland where a community has an annual contest to see who can construct the best "pumkin catapult". Many "punkins" end up in "chuncks" before they leave the device).

Hmmm ...coincidentally the "same" (Pinocio: where the wolf says "Fame" with eyebrows moving up and down) time as the ARX add??

Just to "feel good" ...pull off the filter ...dump the oil back into the engine and replace it with a new one. This will eliminate the filter as the cause of your "chunking" ..and you'll save the ARX for continued use.

found out what it was, **** #3 spark plug wire was slipping off the distributor =P thanks for the ideas though

Don't know much about your motor make ect. However may be due to sensors cleaning up sending some mixed signals to the computer controls, regulating fuel and ignition. I'm not familiar with the term "chunking", my guess was misfires, sputtering, bogging down, or all of the above.

Always nice to have such a simple repair. I had a misfire problem with my 4.8 liter V-8 in my Silverado. Problem was the number three cylinder wire had poor contact. Why it would loosen up its grip after 20K miles is a mystery to me.
