This filter was off a family friends 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe with 4 cylinder. Had QSGB 5W30 and rhis on for 5k. Only 34,xxx miles on vehicle. Put a HYUNDAI/KIA OEM filter and crush washer from " da stash" in and on

WOW! That's the first time I have seen efficiency numbers for the Choinese filters.

I wonder how/why they hold up better than Tear-O-Lators?

Was there a test spec given also?

I have an x241 on my 4runner right now that my local shop installed with some Castrol semi syn. Any of u guys care to guess if I can push one of these filters out to 6 or 7k?

There's some posts here dating a year or two back where someone cut open some of these and found corrosion on the inside of the can. The manufacturer then sent them some of their synthetic filters and other goodies. One of the filters had a huge gap at the baseplate which made me worried when I saw my shop installed this on my truck.

Chinese are making good filters. They learned well.

I sort of believe that's a myth about synthetic oil being mated with a synthetic filter. Toyota pushes 10k or 1 year oil change on their filters and I seen them cut open nothing special just a glass fiber/paper media.

If your 4R has a good service history and you are confident the engine is clean and running well, and your usage does not quality as "severe service," I would run these filters up to 7k miles. Like you say, this is a guess, it is really up to you. Basically if the filter is spec'd for your model, it has to last as long as the manufacturer's recommended service interval (time vs mileage) for that model. All things being equal, a clean engine that's running well will not load up the filter as much.
