I haven't used this trimmer in a couple of years. This white piece fell out and I noticed gas was running out of the skinny black hose. If I try and attach the black hose to the nipple on the white piece, it rips the black hose a new one. Any ideas where these 2 things go?

Thanks! When I try to put it on, it just splits the hose. Just getting too old like me. Lol

Without looking too stupid, how would you repair this? Just buy a new hose from an Echo dealer?

You can get the parts from Echo, but you can also pick up a 2 stroke hose repair kit from the Home Center that includes several sizes of new silicon hose. Chances are that you will need to replace the hose inside the tank from the filter to the carb too. They usually all start to go at the same time.

You need a hose kit. Most hose kits include new hoses, a filter, and grommet. The little white plastic contraption, in the middle picture, is the vent tube filter. Hold on to that.
