That’s weird they went to Puerto Rico you’d think they would of just went right to you. The post office is weird on their routes sometimes.

Dumbest thing they ever did to me was took a package from Detroit and sent it to South Carolina before Muncie, Indiana.

USPS is well known for doing this sort of thing. I had a package that originated in Texas. It went from Texas to Jacksonville, Fl. From Jacksonville, it went to Tallahassee. From Tallahassee, it went back to Jacksonville. From Jacksonville, it went to Little Rock, AR. From Little Rock, it went back to Jacksonville. From Jacksonville back to Tallahassee. From Tallahassee, it came to our local post office an was delivered to my home. EFFICIENCY!

If I mail a letter out of my hometown.....they send it 40 miles away to get sorted then send it back.

Yup, In our town, which has its own large post office, if I mail to my neighbor across the street, they send it 85 miles away then back.

In December I mailed two separate orders from Southern California (different locations) to Hawaii. They ended up in Indianapolis

I just had this happen as well - order started in CA, went to Hawaii, then to Indianapolis before it came to me.

Had another one leave Gurnee, IL, went past my house to Indianapolis; sat there for a couple of days then went to Kokomo, IN, then Peru, IN, then back to Chicago before it came to me.

Maybe they don't have another flight out of town till another day or two later so they need to go to a bigger hub. This is just like how airlines sell indirect flight that cost more as a cheaper indirect ticket.

Your package just got an indirect flight.

I had an order for priority mail from TN to TX.

Should have been 2-3 days.

Took about 7-8 days, they chose to go TN to NY City to TX.

I'm jealous. The tracking information that I get from USPS goes from "Shipping label created, USPS awaiting item" straight to "Delivered" with no hint of where it is in between.
