I just saw a small advertisement on a automotive website about theses new spark plugs by E3, has anyone tried them?

IMHO don't waste the $$ on it.

If you can find platinum plugs for your application, go for it. Otherwise, any regular copper-resistor core plugs (Champixn) would be ok, so long as your carb and ignition timing are properly set.

(similar to Car Luver, I have used it before in my old B&S lawn mower and I didn't notice any significant difference)

I have one on my Stihl trimmer, and my previous B&S mower. On the mower, I noticed slightly less fuel consumption. I probably could have gained this with any new plug (old plug was VERY old). On the trimmer, I noticed nothing: no easier starts, etc. Now, I don't think they are worth the price.

I saw these today in HD and they are expensive. They are also made in China. I think the 2 pronged electrode is a gimmick so I bought a Champion E-Z start instead. The Champion was 2.29 and the E3 was 5.xx I think. It was a 'no brainer' for me at that price.

I had a problem with 'E-Z start' plugs.
Fouled way deep in the insulator. Regular old
Champoin don't.
The EZ worked fine the first year(snowblower) but had the fouling the second(very hard starting).

I just put one in my 5.5 hp B&S engine for my lawn mower. Works just fine but, I can't say wheather or not any other plug wouldn't have done the same thing. Had this mower 10 years and I think it now uses less fuel. Hmmmmm! I usually fill with gas before starting to cut the lawn and it's just about empty when Im finished cutting(about 1 1/2 hours). These last few times, the tank was 2/3 to 3/4 full and I never ran out of gas. Engine starts about the same (1 pull) but doesn't seem any smoother. The reason that I put in a new plug was because it was taking about 4 pulls to start and the enging wouldn't restart when HOT! Everything is OK now.

OH YEAH! I replaced the Champion E-Z Start with the "NEW" E3. The E-Z Start was about 5 years old and it too gave me good service. It was just old!
