Having some 1000 hrs into studying this specific motor, I would add this:

If you are towing heavy, in the summer, the motor oil is seeing periods of over 300F bulk and over 400F locally. Anyone who has watched the pressure gauge plummet, pulling the long grade has seen this in action already.

This user should not use anything accept a class 4 synthetic, as lubrication will suffer at these temps with any oil.

An oil cooler is called for.

Hi. I know it's very easy to block with old fashion engine. But how do you block the EGR on modern engine full of electronic?
