Good day folks. Trying to remove top of my MightyVac fluid extractor. I see they use Phillips head screws but screws won’t loosen. Am I missing something? Thank You for all help and advice.

Just looked at mine. If it's the same model, I have nuts on the bottom off the Phillips head screws. Try getting a socket on them to help get them off. Might be a nylon insert nut, or Loctite. Should come off.

Thank You my friend. I have a metric 1/4 socket set.

Just looked at mine. It’s a MV 7201 and whatever they are they are right up against body of the reservoir.

Well the Mighty Vac I could only remove 3 if the screws. They butted up other three right against rib on cylinder. Gave it to friend. Probably grab this one tomorrow looks better made.

I like this well-reviewed extractor that is currently on sale at Amazon for $60. It has the pneumatic power option (in addition to the standard manual pump) in case you have a compressor.

My friend just bought the HF one and likes it.
Headed to Harbor Freight in bit. We have one at work; I’ve never used it but co workers say it works amazing.

Mighty Vac is major disappointment. Make a ribbed cylinder and stuff screws right against ribs. Could not get mini needle nose pliers on nut on bottom. Fail!
