I know they are supposed to last 7500 miles or so.
Purolator are good filters. No doubt about it.
I never was a fan of Bosch filters prior to the merger/takeover. Bosch subbed out to low bidder and the ones I saw were inferior - probably fine for general use, but nothing special.

I see your point in a way. But is this Amsoil's fault?
Amsoil's Mann offerings
Mann ML-1017
So we are 100% sure the Mann ML-1017 is made by Purolator?
I noticed you edited your post and added the link. What is it so misleading? Did Bosch (or anyone else) disclose who made their filters. Why doesn't Mann say something? I'm confused on the singling out Amsoil. They are selling a "Mann" product. We may not like all Mann's offerings, but it's not really misleading.
It isn't a big deal to me, but both Mann and Amsoil ought to say something about some #'s, quite a few even, are made in their USA factory, instead of showing a bunch of German filters as "representative images." I don't think Bosch shows pictures of their German filters in place of their Purolator made offerings. It is misleading to describe and depict something for sale, then deliver something else. Mann is depicted as this old German high quality filter company, but nothing is said that the ML1009 you are ordering for $4 is made by Purolator in the USA with the Mann name on it. Not terrible, not unique, but I noticed it.
Just to add that the previous Bosch were made by Champion and were pretty good filters in my limited experience.
