I tip a little if they bring the food out to the car, like at Outback Steakhouse curbside pickup. But if I walk in and pay/pick up at the cash register, then I don't tip.

Just finished a meal in a Mexican resturant in Dodge City KS. Food was reasonably good, service was HORRIBLE!!! Fat, slovenly, bad attitude broad did not get a tip!

I do not tip if I carry out. Except at fast-food places, if I dine in I virtually always tip.
I almost always tip the gals at Woods Coffee, a local coffee house mini-chain with an exemplary atmosphere (the women who work there help this aspect a lot) and very good lattes.

Tipping for take out if you call ahead and they have it ready when you get there is totally worth it.
I payed a Thai place a dozen blocks away $20 For a $16 meal. Every time I showed up there like ten minutes later, they would interrupt a group party or other orders to cook up my #4 chicken satay.
Finally after a half dozen years the Thai lady insists on giving my tip back to me. Too much, too much she says. Her service, ams the food she sold me, was worth that much and more.

Yep, as Pablo said those are some of the gals at Woods. I usually frequent the one where Katie works at (upper right in the montage above in Gary Allan's post). Marie (upper left) works at the one where Pabs got the real tasty beverage, Jamie and Kelly (lower left and right respectively)- I ain't sure where but I think I've seen both of them at the one on the west side of town.
They are truly wonderful gals, and the lattes are very tasty indeed.
