Me too.

I thought doing all that stopped in the 60's. I don't know of anyone in Miami that does that anymore..Everybody here just turns the key and goes.

Instead of b.o I say it smells like dirty socks.

I don't use my A/C all that much, my wife uses hers all the time and it stinks. I tell her to shut it off a few minutes prior to arriving....in one ear...out the other.

I actually managed to get my wife to vent the system before shutting down by demonstrating that her car stunk and mine didn't just because of that. We have high humidity here which makes it a problem.

I usually shut off the fan and AC before parking, b/c I tend to believe it is harder on the whole system to start up when it is on.

Problem is, my car actually starts slightly easier with everything on. Cranks a couple of turn less before catching.

^^I do the same.

My cars the computer activates the AC, and waits a sec after starting to do so. Does this so it can preemptively bump the idle.

I do blow the vents out on the last 1/2 mile home with the air off.

My wife does the same thing. I hate it when I start the vibe and the a/c is running full blast blowing hot air in my face

If you shut the off the A/C in a Hot Humid Jungle like Miami when you start the car back up again and turn on the A/C every single window will fog up and you will have to sit there for several minutes until the winsheild clears. If you just leave it on nothing gets fogged up upon start up.
