I went by the water shelves at the supermarket and saw that they carried distilled spring water. The fact that it is distilled means no minerals right? If that is the case it's fine for cooling systems or is there a catch. It was half the price of auto store distilled water.

Sounds like marketing hype to me. Still I would hope then can't get away with labeling anything distilled water that hasn't gone through some sort of process to reduce minerals. With volume and low margin, a grocery store may be able to sell distilled water cheaper than the auto store.

If it was distilled, regardless of origin, then the minerals should be removed and supposedly it is best for cooling systems and batteries
