The guy that started the thread was not banned for dumping on M1. I notice a common theme with these banned guys. They go to Mac forums, NORIA forum, etc and whine - but they don't tell the whole truth about why the were banned.
And this is just a load of hewie:
Quote:
There's one guy over there that owns the whole board. The board is funded by member's donations and subsidized by Castrol oil which is owned by BP.
I love that! If you didn't know there's no freedom of speech on private property, then you deserve what's coming to ya. The Supreme Court has set that precedent.
I remember that guy. He got what he deserved. I love how they're dissing a motor oil forum, and then they start conversing about oil.
I [censored] [censored] oil [censored] spoken, and [censord] Bob is the oil guy [censored] [censored] is [censored] [censored] the best [censored] oil forum around.
=-)
And I'll tell ya'll again wheres you can go! Gosh darn it!
The quote doesn't seem to be a load. It's now a woman that owns the board but other than that...
I guess it is not proper to ask who the member was so I will refrain.
I guess the implication is a load, it might help if I used the whole quote:
Quote:
There's one guy over there that owns the whole board. The board is funded by member's donations and subsidized by Castrol oil which is owned by BP. I never once said anything bad about Castrol; just Mobil 1, which is owned by Exxon Mobil.

it's an old thread, from '06; did BITOG have 13K members in '06?
we should be able to see the humor in this, I think we all know we are gearhead nerds, right?
Yeah something like 13-14K in 2006. We've had some explosive growth spurts, I had noted it was 2006, I was just observing how shocked they would be now.
Don't get me wrong - I think some of the responses are hilarious!
And as noted, a couple guys even start yakking about oil. Too rich!!
I think I take that thread as a badge of courage. Someone should post this thread over there.
This is very funny. It's ..hmmmm...sorta like viewing the inside of an asylum and having the clients call you crazy.
King of Hearts (original French title: Le Roi de Cœur) is a French film set in a small town in France near the end of World War I. As a German army retreats they booby-trap the whole town to explode. The locals flee and, left to their own devices, a gaggle of cheerful lunatics escape the asylum and take over the town — thoroughly confusing the lone Scottish soldier who has been dispatched to defuse the bomb.
The Scott pretends to be crazy to appear transparent with the lunatics. After he defuses the bomb and the Germans are gone, he says to the lunatics "You're free! Come with me!!" ..they respond, "Are you crazy? It's madness out there!".
