Okay, I'm bored and thought this might be a fun and interesting thread. Yeah it's corny but oh well.....

Dipstick Jimmy has just become an immortal oil god (oh no)
24.gif
and has been ordered by Zeus to force all "Do It Yourself" oil changers to do the following to simplify tracking oil usage...

Based on you current knowledge Jimmy visits you and gives you 60 seconds to decide the following about your CURRENT vehicle. You will never be allowed to change any selection as long as you own this vehicle. Consider all aspects like price, future price increases, availability, etc. and choose.

1) Synthetic or Dino?
2) What brand?
3) What viscosity?
4) What Oil Filter?
5) What OCI?

Better hurry Jimmie is getting upset and will hit you with his dipstick if you take longer than 60 seconds to choose...

1) Synthetic or Dino? whatever i end up buying
2) What brand? whatever i can find!
3) What viscosity? where i live, any viscosity!
4) What Oil Filter? Toyota OEM
5) What OCI? 5000 miles or 10,000 with UOA... just couldn't be bothered testing it.

Lately I stick with something that I like and that works well for me. Having said that I keep an open mind, and when I find something that I think is better I make a change. I've recently switched from M1 to PP and couldn't be happier. Now I have Jimmy's edge sitting in my stash, if I find I like it better quess what.......

I using Amsoil, and might consider trying RL. [Tough decision, I like the Amsoil 0W20 specs better than the RL 0w20 specs. Now in 5W20 it seems to me RL wins hands down. I'm I'm the fence because I really like 0W-xx oils, but if I can convince myself to use 5W20 it will be RL for sure. Sorry I got off topic.] If I do decide on 5W20 I'll make the change. The good thing is I have till June to decide.

Sorry Jimmy, just be careful who you swing that stick at OK..

Like I said when the "Jimmy" subject came up months ago...

I would flatten out that clown with ONE PUNCH. Out cold. He wouldn't even THINK of swinging a dipstick at me after I leveled him.

I'm sorry, but that whole "Dipstick Jimmy" ad campaign is just SO wrong. While it may be mildly amusing or good for a small chuckle, it makes Castrol seems like a bunch of frat-boys. I've lost what little respect I had for them in the first place.

Someone needs to put this Jimmy where another more famous Jimmy is... Hoffa...
