Changed the oil on a 2016 f350 with the 6.2l gas engine earlier this evening.

Jiffy Lube changed the oil last for the previous owner. This is the first oil change I have done on this truck since buying the truck last December. I have not used the truck except for test drives.

A bit surprised on the size difference between the jiffy lube filter on the Fram xg2.

That is quite the size difference. I would assume that the Fram is bigger for the longer mileage runs & perhaps other filters for this model are smaller like the champ. Looks like it's getting great treatment with the Specialty oil & Fram Ultra.

In fram part numbers, the 2 has been consolidated for the more often used 10060, and the 16 to a 3614. My shop stopped stocking the 4386 and 7317 years ago.

You should try the Motorcraft filter @GON

TNT, thanks, can I ask why the Motorcraft over the Fram Ultra? Also, I am going to change the oil on a 2019 F350 with the 6.7l diesel. The motocraft was out of stock for the 6.7l, so I picked up a Mobil 1 oil filter for the diesel. Any thoughts on using the Mobil 1 in place of the Motorcraft in the 6.7l diesel?

I prefer OEM filters when I can get them. I use a Motorcraft FL-400 on my Deere LT150 and 2005 Jeep GC. I’ve cut several open and they are well made. I also find them competitively priced at WM compared to Fram and other non OEM makes.

I have been a huge M1 supporter and in the past used an M1 filter on my Cummins. After doing research and reading a lot I’m going to stick with Fleetguard. I think M1 has good products but like I said I’ve become an OEM kinda guy.

I wouldn't be too concerned. A lot of the 5.7L engines in Grand Cherokees, Ram trucks, and others went from using the PH2 sized filter to the ph10060 filter in later years. Same engine, same filter base. I'm sure this was done to consolidate parts inventory needed for dealers. Same reason the quick lubes do this, so one filter can fit multiple vehicles. I've seen Jeep 4.0Ls that had a PH3614 sized filter on them from a quick lube. About 2 sizes smaller than what is normally spec'd (PH16) but I doubt it causes any issues besides maybe decreasing the oil capacity slightly.
