A friend of mine does tax returns as part of his charity work. The people are not poor that he works with. They are clueless. A lot of widows that have never dealt with financial aspects of their life. They often have six-figure incomes in retirement and have annual notes about the $22 they won at bingo that they make him include as part of their income so the IRS doesn't put them in jail.

there is a $20,000+ threshold for online transactions, for Etsy or Ebay, the requirement for them to send you 1099K form for tax income in 2023

They didn’t find what they were looking for. They did find a couple items I should have paid use tax. I paid the $7
